Being empathetic is one of the key emotive features that make you a human. Empathy is the foundation for good relationships and for success. By teaching your child to be empathetic, he/she will be able to compassionately think about others’ perspectives. Empathy is all about “perspective taking” and being “compassionate”.

Have you always wondered what your child is thinking about when they pick up phone and pretend to be on a call with someone? Or thought about their creativity as they picked up a cushion and drove it around pretending that they were driving a car? There are fundamental benefits of children engaging in role play activities to support the enhancing skills that are required for their development. Along with these activities being fun, allowing the children to use their imagination within play improves their creativity, promotes better performance in their education and helps them to develop a strong problem-solving approach when resolving conflict. This is because it allows them to take up characters that act out real life roles.

A mud kitchen area is often part of a nursery garden set up as it allows children of all ages to experience another example of sensory play and exploring different textures. Children can explore and discover together, gain new skills, show curiosity, investigate, use role play experiences and share space and resources with their friends. Consistency and textures can be changed by adding water to mud, adding natural materials such as herbs, flowers, seeds, and plants from around the garden.
We are confident you will appreciate our nursery, its setting and facilities. Should you wish to visit, we are available at any time to meet with you. Any comments or input from parents are always welcome.
We are open 7.30am - 6.30pm
